He not only is incredibly talented in countless areas of music, but goes above and beyond to help every student from the musically inclined to the kid who really doesn’t think he can sing. Seamlessly tying in his own practices while also being flexible with how individuals learn and create, he is someone who is not afraid to be crazy and encourage growth in others. Although his background focuses in opera, he is extraordinarily talented in musical theater, classical, modern, and endless other genres of music and is not afraid to explore and keep his mind open to new avenues and ideas. I feel extremely lucky to have worked under and with Anand in a group setting, an individual setting, and as a part of a choir for a larger production.
