Carolyn enjoys helping the student to develop lush arrangements that fit their current technique level, encouraging technique development through scales, arpeggios and rhythmic study. Additionally she works with songwriters to craft potent lyrics, melody and chord progressions. Carolyn’s philosophy on teaching and learning is to always keep an open mind. Carolyn Cruso teaches out of her studio in Eastsound, WA, which is on the Orcas Island section of Washington State. Her students come from surrounding areas including Eastsound, West Sound, West Beach, Rosario, Olga, Deer Harbor, 98245. She also teaches in the Greater Seattle, WA area, which includes West Seattle, Delridge, Roxhill, South Park, Georgetown, Beacon Hill, Columbia City, Harbor Island, Mt. Baker, Leschi, Madrona, Queen Anne, Magnolia, Fremont, Wallingford, Laurelhurst, Eastlake, montlake, Alki, North Admiral. Many of her students are outside these areas and for those, she teaches online.
