Rafael Luna teaches flute in San Joaquin County and online. He teaches Classical, Baroque, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Folk, World Music, Contemporary, and Experimental. He specializes in teaching technique, tone, flexibility, how to practice, interpretation and articulation, improvisation, composition and arranging. Rafael is an innovator on the flute. He has the ability to unleash anyone’s potential through knowledge and experience. Rafael Luna is an Revolutionary Artist who is known for breaking the barriers of what could be. Rafael received his BFA degree from CalArts in 2016 with an emphasis on Jazz Performance, Music Composition, Music technology. He received his MFA degree in 2018 with an emphasis on Pedagogy/Education, Audio Visual Art, Performance. Being immensely and widely diverse, his focus ever since starting jazz and improvisation has been to make the flute more widely respected and known.
