Oshagan Merjanian teaches cello in San Jose, CA and online. He has been teaching private music students for over the past ten years. He is passionate about helping his students reach their highest potential. Oshagan has been involved in music his entire life, having been born into a musical family. He grew up learning piano, organ, and to sing. When he was ten, his father had him start cello so the family could form a string quartet. They went on to do many wedding and other gigs. Oshagan received his Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance from Cal State University, Northridge, in 2017 under the instruction of Diane Roscetti. He went on to complete his Master’s Degree in Cello Performance at UCLA where he studied with Antonio Lysy. In his spare time, Oshagan likes to exercise, go camping, and spend time with the people he loves.
