Marija Tursijan teaches accordion online. Since November 2021, Marija has been working as a teaching associate at the Department of Accordion at the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac, Serbia. She has studied with world-renowned professors, including Milos Milivojevic, Injaki Alberdi, Geir Draugsvoll, Karin Fleck and Nenad Ivanovic. In 2017, she completed her secondary education and enrolled in the Faculty of Philology and Arts of the University of Kragujevac in the class of Professor Vojin Vasovic. She has won many competitions, including: First prize at the IX International Competition “Accordion Days,” Ugljevik, 2017, First prize and title of absolute winner of the entire competition at “42nd accordion players” meeting in Pula in 2017. Marija performs regularly in many concert venues in many countries. She is a co-founding member of the AccoFem accordion trio, with the aim of presenting their long-standing friendship and love for the accordion by playing together.
