F Scott Moyer teaches Drums, Guitar, Bass, Piano, Singing, Music Theory, Songwriting in Ventura County, Conejo Valley and online. F Scott has been teaching music since 1973. Because he teaches, plays and composes on many instruments he is able to easily identify each musical musical challenge to help students learn and perform music very quickly. He taught at Amazing Music in the Pacific Palisades for 40 years. His students have had #1 and #2 Hit Records with TONIC in 1995/96, as well as attending the elite music colleges & schools in America including Berklee College of Music, Julliard, The Thornton School of Music at UNC and The Oberlin Conservatory of Music. As a result of Scott’s teachings and their continued dedicated studies, several of his students have received endorsement deals from major music companies. In 2002 to 2005 F Scott was hired as Music Director to rebuild a failed music program at Bridges Academy, a school for gifted students. He is currently writing instructional books for drums, guitar and music theory. F Scott began drum studies at age 11 in Ridgewood, New Jersey and guitars at age 15 in Hong Kong. He has a music degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. F Scott has worked with bassist, Don Dixon (Producer of the Smithereens and REM) and Michael Barbiero, recording engineer for Whitney Houston’s debut album, Jeff Beck, Todd Rudgren, Tesla, and 8 time Grammy winner for original songs and sound engineering, mixing and producing of many name artists, including Jon Butcher, Long John Baldry, Emmy Lou Harris, Albert Lee, Laurence Juber, James Zota Baker, Stanley Behrens, Kevin Eubanks, Jim Fielder, Ray Concord, Larry Antonino, Bob Luna, The Chambers Brothers. In 1984, one of his Country songs (Easy Come Lovers Tell Easy Go Lies) was chosen as one of the best songs of the SGA.
