Colin Hayes teaches beginning and intermediate piano in Truckee, CA and surrounding areas and online. He teaches classical and pop styles. His passion is to make sure that the student has a well-rounded understanding of music theory, technique and sight-reading, along with repertoire. Colin started playing piano at the age of 7. Even at an early age, he was drawn to the classics. He studied musicology and music history during high school. At William Jessup University, he studied music theory and musicianship. Colin is currently pursuing his music degree at Cal State Northridge. When he is not doing music or studying, you will find Colin outdoors, hiking, skiing, mountain biking or at the beach.
