Claire Eggers teaches violin in the San Fernando Valley. Throughout high school and college, Claire has had experience volunteering in elementary classrooms as a teacher’s assistant. She has also taught basic music principles and world music to young students. Claire hopes to inspire others through sharing her knowledge and love for music with them. Claire Eggers has been involved in music since a young age. She began taking lessons at the age of seven, and joined Prelude Chamber Strings by junior high. She also completed several semesters of music theory at the Colburn Community School, and created a strong background in harmony and musicianship. Currently, Claire is working towards her Bachelor’s degree in violin performance at Cal State Northridge. She studies a wide range of repertoire, including works for orchestra, chamber, and solo. She has also been involved in several musicals and operas including Cinderella, Sweeney Todd, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Der Schauspieldirektor (The Impresario), and Xerxes. Additionally, Claire participated in the CSU Summer Arts and Borromeo Music Festivals, which focused on solo pieces and chamber collaborations. Outside of the music world, Claire enjoys hiking and going to the beach.
