Cary Miga teaches guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo, ukulele and mountain dulcimer in Pasadena and surrounding areas and online. Along with his professional background, his love of teaching offers his students a tailored lesson plan catered to their specific needs and abilities. He focuses on teaching all aspects of music, including listening, playing, performing, theory and technique. He specializes in rock, jazz, bluegrass, country, salsa, classical and pop music. Cary studied with Grammy award winning educator Dr. Thara Memory, drummer Alan Jones, bassists’ Andre St. James, Tim Gilson, and Phil Baker, and pianists George Colligan and Darrell Grant. Working professionally as a freelance musician, he worked as the bassist for vintage pop band Jacob Miller & The Bridge City Crooners. He is currently working with professional artists such as drummer Christopher Brown, guitarist Chance Hayden, singer/songwriter Michalangela Wilson, and singer/songwriter Fritswa Baffour.
