Bom An teaches oboe, English horn, flute and piano in the San Fernando Valley, Conejo Valley and Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Bom enjoys teaching to students of all levels and has been teaching since 2011. All of her students have performed in their school orchestra, including Pacific Symphonic Youth Wind Ensemble, Honors Orchestra and All-State Orchestra in California. Bom has studied oboe with Allan Vogel and Paul Sherman who are two of the most prominent oboists in California. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Oboe Performance from California Institute of the Arts. She received Cal Arts Grant and Colburn Scholarship during her college years. She is very active as a performer. Bom has won the First Prize from The Music Association of Korea Competition. She has performed with Hungary Debrecen Philharmonic Orchestra and Gwacheon Philharmonic Orchestra as soloist. She is member of the Los Angeles Symphonic Winds and the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra and has performed with the San Fernando Valley Symphony Orchestra and the Westlake Village Symphony. During her free time, Bom loves playing piano, cooking and spending time as a butler of her lovely cat Luci.
