Lake Jiroudek teaches guitar in the Santa Clarita Valley. He loves fully putting himself into his work and coming out the other side with something to show for it. Lake applies this passion to his teaching and is committed to understanding the need of each student so he can best serve them.
Lake Jiroudek is a guitarist, songwriter, bandleader and music educator based out of Los Angeles. His current projects include leading an indie rock band with his brother entitled “Innocent Alex” and playing as a solo singer/songwriter as “Lake Ryan.” Along with his personal pursuits, Lake works as a guitar instructor at various schools including West Coast Music Academy, School of Rock and Sulphur Springs Elementary. In 2016, Lake completed a BM degree at The Juilliard School, where he studied jazz guitar and learned from greats such as Wynton Marsalis, Rodney Jones, Carl Allen, Ron Blake, Kenny Washington and many more. In Lake’s time as a musician, he has played at notable venues such The Blue Note, Monterey Jazz Festival, Bootleg Theater, Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, The Hi Hat and Yoshi’s Jazz Club. His experience varies, playing with jazz greats such as Jon Faddis, Ben Street, Jason Moran and Ambrose Akinmusire to local LA indie bands such as Bones Muhroni, Dylan Rodrigue and Hawk Percival and Friends. In everything Lake does, there is a level of seriousness and devotion to the music, while still having a sense of humor and allowing an open point of view.
